Water Separator Wont Stop Draining

Hey Everyone, I opened the drain valve under the truck to let the water separator drain out. While that was draining I changed the filter in the engine compartment. That didnt take too long at all. But the water separator was still draining. I ended up closing the valve when the 12 quart bucket got filled up almost to the top. It was still draining. Any ideas as to why it was still draining? Needles to say the filter under the truck didn't get replaced.

What year truck? For the 17 I think I read you have to disconnect a sensor or something up top to make it not keep draining from tank. 18+ I don't think it was necessary.

Let your fuel tank get below 1/2 tank and try again. This worked for my 2017

Take a look at the owners manual. My late 17 said it would drain a liter or so. That's what came out. The fuel tank was full.

There is a check valve missing on the 2017's that got added later. Empty the tank and try again.
