Still a vibration

Had original U-joints and carrier bearing assembley replaced on my 2000 F250 SD 4 door 4x4 with V10 about 8 months ago and still have a vibration in drive line between 35- 50 mph, it ran smooth as silk with the old parts on it except carrier was getting a little sloppy. Put new tires on it but no difference so I guess I will redo the carrier again, at least start there. It has 207K on the clock but still runs and looks great. Its never towed anything but hauled a 3500lb water tank in back last 4 years.

So? did the drive-line work help it or change anything? If it did not make any difference I would be looking somewhere else like tires...

Driveline work made it worse as far as a vibration that was not there before the work; the new carrier bearing assembly helped it as far as the bumping or slack it had you could feel taking off from stop sign or red light. Now the carrier assembly is doing the same thing again plus the vibration still there.

Was a slip joint slid apart during this maintenance? If so, are joints now properly phased upon reassembly?

If your phasing is correct and the angles are good... ? Can you put an angle gauge on it and measure the pitch, you know what I mean?

Phasing means if the yokes are lined up.

Ok, A friend and I are going to check that out when I can get time to it and see what is going on, hope don't have to replace U joints again, but we'll see what we have to do, and thanks guys for the input; I'll post later when we get it resolved.

Grab the drive shafts and wiggle up-down. Look for play in Ujoints, carrier and pinion yoke. New doesn't mean good. These UJoints can be put in wrong. The cup can be overpressed towards the clip which creates slop thus wobble...ask me how I know. The cups need to be recentered in the yoke. Spicer UJoints only.
Look at the tires for hop. Hop cant be balanced out. The tire is defective.
A dragging caliper can cause vibration if one of the notorious slider pins are foozen...again I know this one as well too.
