What great ratio does your truck have?
@SuperDutyScaler has a similar generation 5.4 and can speak on them.

GEARS AND MORE GEARS!
Seriously I've had EVERY upgrade made for pur trucks. Intake, headers, custom ypipe, no cat exhaust, no muffler exhaust, single exit and dual exit exhausts, canned tuner and then full custom tunes made just for my truck.
And in the end the ONLY thing that made this setup work better is GEARS Now after all these years and all these changes my truck is back to stock intake/stock exhaust manifolds/2000 stock y-pipe/ stock cat/single in out 3" single exhaust/stock computer tuning and 4.30 GEARS
Truck gets up and goes from a dead stock, 30 to 70mph is awesome, truck will tow anything I hook to her and get to highway cruising speeds and maintain them without hunting for gears.
