477-534 Super duty engine oil filter housing gasket?
I recently picked up a C850 parts truck from Destroked. It's been like Christmas, with all the pristine goodies and spare parts. That includes a spin on oil filter housing.
Unfortunately I've been unable to find a part number for a gasket anywhere. I'm tempted to just get some gasket material and make one, but I've had mixed results with that in the past.

The only oil filter listed for 401/477/534 engines is the cartridge type, and that's what the B8TZ-6A636-A gasket listed in post #2 is for.
There's no "Spin-On" oil filter listed for these engines..
But the block mating surface would be the same for both, I doubt they would retool the block casting when the new adapter was designed from scratch to match it.
He can tell by looking, I wish I could find a spin-on adapter! (D8HZ-6881-A, I think, for later years)

D8HZ-6881-A .. Oil Filter Adapter / Obsolete
1978 401/477/534 from serial number BE5001. Ditto 1979/81 - Uses Motorcraft FL-299 Oil Filter.
There's no parts catalog pic for this adapter in the 1973/79 or 1980/89 Heavy Truck catalogs.
Once again, thank you Destroked. So far everything I've taken off has unbolted without a fight and been far nicer than what is on mine. With the exception of that oil pan. You wouldn't happen to remember what happened to the upper radiator and coolant reservoir pipes would you?
I'll look where the head and intake are laying but most of the stuff I pulled off I layed in the cab.
Being a fire truck it had some weird plumbing with extra fittings added, when the pumps are installed the builders added extra plumbing to sent water from the fire pump to the engine to help cool the engine during long periods of continuous pumping, in northern areas they plumbed engine coolant around the pump to help keep it from freezing during winter operations.
