Still have the can with the replaceable filter element? Motorcraft FL20. Note you can switch to spin-on, and use FL1-A. Explained here, and in another thread linked here in post 3.

There might be is another adaptor also. I will try to find out later today. I found these, which are the standard FE spin on mounts. Since I don't have an FT/FE block sitting here, perhaps you can eyeball your motor vs. these pictures and illustrations and see if it bolts right up to your block, which it should. Someone will be by to confirm or condemn this suggestion.

Most of the F-600 thru L-800 trucks I've worked on with FT engines used the FE car adapter pointing the filter down.
Pickups use the adapter with the filter sticking straight out for the filter to clear the cross member.

The filter will clear the cross member with the vertical adapter, but if the left motor mount breaks (a somewhat common occurrence), when the engine rears up, then comes back down, the filter will hit the cross member, splitting it open.

I had a 428 from a car in a 73 F-100 2x4, it still had the car filter adapter on the engine, I could install the short filter like is used on Mopar apps but the standard length Ford filter wouldn't fit because it hit the cross member before the filter was straight enough to thread onto the adapter.

In 1975, Ford "shoehorned" the 302 into Mustang II's (basically a Pinto). The FL-1A filter was too long, so Ford came out with a shorter version: FL-300-BDP

I found a filter insert at my local autoparts. They had one in stock. I am still going to see if I can find the adapter at the salvage yard.

I'm confused; just clean and bring the old one to Napa and get a new one. spin on or cartage my trucks have
FT and I use 2 quart spin on's. One with a 330 cartage in stock at Napa no problem........................
