I was not aware ProComp made a stock height Excursion spring, what is the part number ?
USA made Springs, you will need to go with a custom from companies Like Deaver, Alcan,National or Betts.
while all of these guys actually manufacture springs right at their facilities they also offer the more common and affrordable Imports that make up 99% of the market.
I am not aware of anycompany that offers a stock height Excursion spring made in USA. even the Mortorcrafts are imports.
Good morning Camo. What advice do you have on using ball joint sleeves vs the shims to adj. caster? I really don't want to "un do" my spring packs. Plus I'm afraid of changing the front pinion angle.
Thanks in advance
every time you make changes away from stock you are making a series of choices that are ultimetly a compromise and the shim ? BJ adjuster is no exception. one way or another you are going to be running joints at an angle, either the Driveline ujoints or the axle uJoints.
shims, quick and easy but may cause a slight driveline vibration at speeds when in 4wd.
BJ sleeves, labor intensive to install, preserves DL angle but puts the BJ at maximum operation angle and the inner axle slightly off kilter.
personally I like the shims becase DL ujoints are much easier and quicker to change/service then Ball Joints and inner axle seals . U joints are meant to allow angles of operation, so be it.
Pro Comp USA has confirmed their 22210/22415 springs are made in the USA.
first off, good luck with that.
But mostly, who at procomp confirmed the 22210/22415 was made in the USA ?
Pro comp does in fact have a huge manufacturning faculity in Southern CA and theydo build most of their lift kits there but to my knowledge the leaf springs are made in India just like every other aftermarket leaf spring you are likely to find.
who at procomp confirmed the 22210/22415 was made in the USA ?
Joe Lind, customer support service team.
Seems everyone around here does the ~4-6" lift using these springs from Pro Comp. Is there a similar spring swap that doesn't lift quite so high, Pirate?
I looked... and looked... and looked... for a spring setup that was less than 4" without being over the desired spring rate (as in the various F250/350 spring swaps).
I didn't have any luck. Not saying it isn't out there, but adding a country of origin requirement is going to make it even more difficult, I think.
So why not just get F250 springs? That will only be about a 2" lift so it'll sit just like an F250 which is what they should have to begin with. I doubt you'll find them Us made though, nobody could afford to buy them if they were.
