Shocks for 4" lift?
Have a 2002 4x4 7.3 with 4" Procomp lift that i put on in August 2010 at about 90,000 miles. I did the kit with the dropped pitman arm and drop bracket. At the time I took advantage of the Rancho 9000XL deal. So the RS999005 and the RS999344. Now the dials don't turn at all and I am just done with them....
Now I have 184,200 on her and she rides pretty bad. I run 35x12.50 BFG AT KO2 on 16x10 Weld Outbacks with 3.5" backspacing. I don't off road with her at all.
I am looking at the Bilstein 5100 that everyone seems to like. Just want to double check that I should get the following for my lift:
Bilstein 33236964 Shock Absorber - rear
Bilstein 33185545 Shock Absorber - front
Another question is would these be the same shocks if I stepped up to a 6" lift? Thinking if I move to 37s, I don't want to rebuy shocks. I might pursue different rims with more backspacing next go around also - Get a decent amount of rubbing.
Or I might do the trimming/zero rate spring that everyone is discussing to fit 37's with a 4".
Thanks,
Joe
Pics of my Ex: (Yes that is a Nitto on the rear in the pic - had a cut tire and there were no BFGs in my size on the entire eastern seaboard - had to make do)
