I bought my truck lifted and the guy I bougt it from said it has a 6.5in procomp lift. now its time to for to think about changing shocks out and I need to know the right length shocks to get. any help on finding how the length I need and how to tell how much lift my truck really has would be great
You should just be able to call where ever your looking to get shocks from, tell them the size lift and thell do the rest. If you could get some pictures of it on here Im sure we could help determine the size lift. What size tires do you have on it? 6" lift usually has a max of 37s
Don't the shocks have a part # on them? If so, you can always cross reference
Yep, if you look carefully, and the sticker or markings haven't been obscured or rubbed off from abrasion or lots of offroad use, there is usually a part number on the actual shocks themselves somewhere.
Can't help you with the shock lengths, other than letting you know about the "shock and awe" rebate going on. So when you figure out the length, Might be a possibly for you.
I am researching shocks now for mine.. I am leaning towards the adjustable 9000's for when i carry the 5th wheel.
