You can recrimp that connector, and put a small piece of heat shrink tubing on it to make good contact, or just cut it off an put a ring terminal on with a nut to retain it....either way, as long as its secure.

Thanks...I was close to doing this...I didn't think of the heat shrink tubing. All snuggled in for now til I ca find a proper connector.
rtcapo: What you have posted pics of is IDENTICAL to the wire I fished out of a rusty '66 Custom Cab (Oakville, Ont Assembly plant) So, yah, it's factory, but it will be a PITA to change out.
If you end up buying that LMC repop, I would leave the factory one in until you get the repop, then use the old one to pull the new one into place
