Now I know the term... Do it right the first time.
Long story short.. I'm REWIRING EVERYTHING... It is a complete birdnest under the dash. Everything getting soldered, much less wires, wires running clean..etc. I came across the trailer plug wire, and it has a dormant brown wire. Anybody know its function?
Think truck came with a sidewinder alarm. With the amount of wires available, was able to hide it atop the GEM😊. Used 2-4wire extn cord looking wire bundle to tap onto all sensors and gauges..etc. Much, much better looking. Will post what's left and finish product. Have been on a misdion for a few days
Entering cables from engine. Egt wire will be reran
This one concerns me. That black wire looks like heavy gauge, like it might actually carry some current. Is that passing through a drilled metal hole? If so, the vibration of the vehicle will make the metal cut into the wire like an electric carving knife on a turkey. When passing through metal bulkheads, you want to use a grommet.
Great work! My PO had some form of two-way commercial radio, and I never removed the bundle they left behind. It's not like I don't know how, it's that I haven't mustered the gumption you're showing here.
Thanks Tug..it was bad under there, Tug. , but over time along with the wvo, I added to it. Couldn't take it no more and my OCD clock was ringing. With work at bay for the moment, it was the perfect opportunity to take advantage of things that need done/installed.
. If my camera was better, there's a piece of heater hose protruding thru the one hole😉 . Been for a long time, wanting to use that "port".
. The green cable is my hot/triggers for the relays,(extn cord cut up😉
The black cable has 4-10-12ga wires that week be used as my sensor/sender wires.
. Gotta make a heater hose temp attachment because the sensor off the W.P. is just far to route any wire/s cleanly
But, not without a "speed bump"..(pun intended). While investigating what the 2-nuts/bolts were for, found out the hard way that they were holding the e-brake lever. Got it confused with HOOD, lol. Ended up getn my right foot clipped by front left tire and being dragged to middle of street before able to make truck come to a stop. If not for being excited, I would've known to reapply the ebrake, lol. Brake pedal doesn't move with no key in ignition..haha..little banged up n bruised(ego really), but all good...
Anyway, ...
New D.D. installed to dash Microphone for handfree Where my power came from for gauges..tapped into power point. Soldered wire to spade. Fit in plug perfect Gauges in, USB for radio in open hole. Think a piece of acrylic will clean that up
I don't know how many times I looked at doing that dash upgrade, but I just never pulled the trigger.
Same here,
Now unfortunately, it looks like I've procrastinated enough to miss the boat. Riffraff now has it listed as "discontinued" both versions. I am also unable to locate one on the internet to even the do a, do it yourself version.
If anyone has another source for these I be interested to hear about it.

I bought off Amazon last year, just did a search for both auto and man and came up dry..
I figured the manufacturer would stop making them sooner or later, once the orders trickled down to near nothing. It's been a long time since that part was needed.
After reading your guys posts, went ahead and started searching myself, directly "stealth-automotive"...nothing, nada.. It's where mine and a few buddies ordered there's. Mine was 65.00std, the autos were 75.00. One of the buddies never did install his. If you guys are interested, I'll hit him up today and see what he says...heres the best info I found on stealth. I also sent them an email thru another diesel site...
