Hey guys. I’m running into an issue of which accelerator/throttle cable will work with my 66 f250 with a 460. I’m trying to use the original one for the 390 but I’m my opinion it feels to be too long and that it won’t work. It puts a lot of strain on it when I try to run it up to the carb. Has anyone done this swap before and what did you use for your throttle cable? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks again!

No 390's in F100/350's until 1968. The only V8 available in 1965/67 F100/350's was the 352 (Same FE engine family as the 360/390/410/427/428).

460 wasn't available in F100/350's until 1973, but there was no 460 accelerator cable until 1979.
Whoops totally meant to say 352. Weird that’s the same one I bought from carpenter but seemed too long. I’m running the Weiand stealth intake so it sits a little higher. I don’t have any experience with setting up throttle linkage so i’ll see if I can get some help. Thanks!
