C5TZ9A758AH .. Accelerator Cable / 20" long / Obsolete

Fits: 1965/66 F100/250 352 2WD only.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any, no one reproduces it.

FTE member camperspecial65 has a used cable.

Bill W: do you think the lokar cable you used would be long enough to work in a 6 cyl truck? do you have a photo of the finished install? mine finally snapped, i was able to fish some mechanics wire through the outer jacket of my stocker and wrap the ends around the ball stud for now. but i would like a more permanant solution.

thanks
Mike

C5TZ9A758AG .. Accelerator Cable / 28.66" long / Obsolete

C5TZ9A758AG replaced: C5TZ9A758AA & C5TZ9A758C

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any of these three part numbers.

Hey Mike, Yes the lokar cable will be long enough for your truck, i probly cut more off than i used for the 352 install. I also have a used original 6cyl throttle cable from my 65, i will be installing a 289 in my truck and do not need the 6 cable anymore. here is a pic of the install. PM me if you want to buy the cable, its in great condition.

another place you can try is LMC Parts

LMC Truck Parts: Chevy Chevrolet Blazer S10 GMC Jimmy S15 Ford Bronco Ranger Pickup Pick Up Accessories/Catalogs

it is a great place to find all of the no longer produced parts.

I went from a 6 to a V8 and also went with a lokar throtle and trans cable setup. Very easy and straight forward setup.

They do not have any. No other aftermarket seller of repro parts has any, either.

it is a great place to find all of the no longer produced parts that have been reproduced, most of it in China.
No one has reproduced any of the five different 1965/66 F100/250 accelerator cables.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any of C5TZ9A758AH = See post #2 / Or C5TZ9A758AG = See post #5.

C5TZ9A758AH has been very hard to find for over 20 years. A year or so ago, I found 14 of them at FoMoCo Dealers and obsolete parts vendors.

All have since been sold.
------------------------
Besides these two, there are three more.

C5TZ9A758A .. Accelerator Cable / 26.06" long / Obsolete.

Fits 1965 240/300 I-6: F100/250 4WD ~ F350/600 ~ B500/600 (School Bus).

BOB ALLEN FORD in Overland Park KS has ONE = 800-676-0675.

PEROGIE ENTERPRISES in Highstown NJ has ONE = 609-448-1684.

WESLEY OBSOLETE PARTS in Liberty KY has TWO = 606-787-5293.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has FOUR = 800-543-4959.

MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has FOUR = 800-546-7278.

No other Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
-----------------------------------------------------
C5TZ9A758AE .. Accelerator Cable / 26.06" long.

Fits 1966 240/300 I-6: F100/250 4WD ~ F350/600 ~ B500/600.

Fits: 1967/69 B/F500/600 240/300 I-6.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
------------------------------------------------
C6TZ9A758K .. Accelerator Cable / 28.66" long / Obsolete

C6TZ9A758K replaced C6TZ9A758C

Fits: 1966 F100 2WD 240/300 I-6 with T/E only (T/E: Thermactor Emission aka Smog Pump).

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any of these two part numbers.

This is for a 1965/66 F100/250 352 2WD, correct?

If so, the OP (Ford66) bought the last one they had yesterday...for about the same price, which IMO isn't that bad, as Ford's last MSRP was $71.32.

NO one else has any.

Yes, you are correct...it was for a 1966 F100.
I was just hard to pay $100.00 when the last one I bought was $40.00.
The guy at Bob Allen Ford told me that they were only making like 10 bucks on it, because he actually found it elsewhere and was having it shipped to them, to sell to me. He also told me that he could not believe the demand for these throttle cables and why someone has not remanufactured them yet.

When you get it, look at all of the packaging very carefully...see what, if anything, it says as to where Bob Allen got it from...

Keep us posted :-)

It came in an FoMoCo box, with only a Label with mine & Bob Allen Ford's name & address on it. It must have been shipped to them in an additional box, cuz I don't see any spots where a different label was peeled off. He never did say where he was getting it from, only that he was supposedly only making $10.00 on the deal. Sorry I couldn't "decode" it further...but that was a good idea. (I never even thought of that)
