TV Commercial with nice truck

Have you guys seen this commercial. I am not even sure what they are selling but it is a nice looking truck. The girl runs a landscape business.

I usually hang out on the 48-56 forum. What year is this truck? Notice that FORD is blocked out on the hubcap and the hood side emblem.

1963 or 1964.

legalzoom.com was founded by Robert Shapiro, a lawyer who represented OJ during his murder trial.

OJ hired Shapiro first, who told him he would be found guilty, then he hired Johnny Cochran, saying "I need you!"

Shapiro is known around here (LA LA Land) as a "country club type" who represents celebrities.

Looks like a '63 -- there's one partial shot of the rear end that shows a round tail light.

Thanks, Berkeley, for the ad video. It looks like Charlie's truck needs a headliner!

Why Did they block out FORD ? Trademark reasons?

This is common in the ad biz, they block out the names for all sorts of reasons.

The latest Progressive Insurance ad features an Audi SUV, but the 4 "Auto Union" rings that have graced Audi grilles since day one are missing.

Blocking out the name usually means that they (ad company) asked the blockee for money (ad tie-in). They refused, so, fuzzy logo for you.

Those rings are:
Horch
Wanderer
Audi
DKW

The company also holds the remains of the Rickenbacker company.

That's interesting, because Rickenbackers were assembled in Detroit, the company was founded by Eddie Rickenbacker, a race car driver, former owner of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, US flying ace of WWI, winner of the Medal of Honor and a member of the Hat In The Ring Squadron.

True. And even more interesting to myself is the fact that I have a friend with whom we both looked into buying a 1925 Rickenbacker Brougham that had ended up near Plato Center, ILL.
This was back in the eighties. We couldn't come to terms, but the car, the car was in very nice original condition, including the spare tire cover that warned: 4 Wheel Brakes.

Cosmo

P.S. The Audi Eights from the 30's use the Rickenbacker engine.

Below are a couple pics of my truck from catalog photo shoots.
The first one is Lands End. It is a photo proof they sent me to have and the FORD is on the hub caps. In the Pic in the actual catalog(that I can't find right now) the FORD on the hub caps is photo shopped out.
Also notice the difference in the front of the DS fender from the Lands End pic( they wanted patina) and the pic from an LL Bean shoot is was used for in 2015. I wish body and paint work were that easy, the fender still looks the same today as it did for the LE shoot in 2012.

Lands End proof pic before logo taken off hub cap. Note ding in front of fender. LE left all the patina in the pics they used. No my truck is no lowered, that model was about 6'1" or 6'2".

LL Bean took the logos off the hub caps too but also did some body and paint work too. If only they had taken care of that ding in real life too.
