Misfire and suspected spark plug issue
I got a 2003 F150 V6 4.2L extended cab a year ago for someone I knew it had 260,000 miles on it. When I bought the truck I changed the spark plugs to double platinum not 100% what brand but believe it was autolite plugs and recently changed spark plugs to Bosch Iridium plugs prematurely thinking and hearing that iridium will give better spark and better MPG on my engine but recently been getting a lot of random misfire on a few cylinders. Have had a lot of vaccum leaks and had clogged up catalytic converter fixed recently. Vacuum leaks fixed by gaskets and new parts and catalytic converter have been gutted until I can get new ones. Have heard it Bosch can cause problems but not sure if that is the problem and I still have the older Double platinum plugs and they still look in good condition.

Update my older plugs are double platinum Bosch. Was putting them back in and broke one and then was putting the iridium back in and noticed one of them was crack on the plastic where the wire connects. So I had to put one Double platinum in until I can get more plugs.
