I look around on craigslist once in awhile just to see whats on there and came across a guy selling a supercharger and intercooler off of a 3.8L 94 t-bird for only $200. Considering the mustang 3.8L and the 4.2L are very similar I was wondering if there might be any possible way I could get this supercharger to work with my 99 f150 w/ 4.2. Thanks.
The blocks have the same deck height, so intakes should be able to be swapped. So yeah it's doable. I've recently wondered the same, and decided to snoop around lol. I'll add I've never torn into a ford v6, only Windsors and inline sixes.
The valve configuration is different, on the truck it is IEIEIE, on the car it is IEEIIE. No way you're going to get that to work without changing heads.

If it were possible, someone would have done it by now. There would have been a surge of others doing it. There would have been postings on every F-150 forum. And if it were profitable to sell the conversions and parts kits, Super Six Motorsports would offer it. If you are set on trying to fix up your old 4.2L, then turn to Super Six Motorsports. If it works, they have it. If you feel that it is worth it, then allocate your budget accordingly.
