What kind of spark plugs would be recommended for my basically stock inline 6? i am putting new spark plug wires on and was wondering which plug would work best for me. just regular plugs? should i upgrade to fancier plugs. also, what do you all know about those bosch platinum-2 and 4 spark plugs? thanks for any help.
sounds good...i like cheap. why does bosch make those if they are crap? are they just looking for money or do those platinum-4's actually work good on something?
they sucked in my 87 vette, took them out in a week. sent them back for a refund, took six months to get money back from bosch, but at least they sent money back.
bosch patinums always made any musclecar i tried them in run bad. i tried the plus4's thinking they improved them.
advertising is propaganda.
splitfires are a waste of money.
never had them in a car of mine, but had friends that hated them.
if you rember a few years back the companies making the 2,3 and 4 prong plugs all got sued for false advertising and had to pay out. the platinum plugs are not very good either.
I have been running Bosch Super $.99 plugs in my 300 for over a year. No troubles. Even through a flooding carburetor. Originally I bought the cheapest plug I could find because I wasnt sure of the condition of the engine. There was a dead skip. I pulled out Autolites I believe. Or Motorcraft one. That was a year ago. No skip. Bosch really makes a good plug. I have had problems with the Platinum's in another vehicle. If you try them just grab the cheapies.
