A couple of years ago I disassembled by F3 bed. I saved these two brackets but don't remember where they go.
does anyone have a picture of an 8' bed that indicates how they fit on?
Tom
Wow, everything about them looks genuine. But I’ve never seen brackets like them. I’ve pulled the wood and hardware from two Express beds, but neither had those brackets. I’ll be following along hoping someone else has had them on their truck. I wonder if different eras of the trucks, or different assembly plants, might have had slight differences in hardware. Stu
When I removed them from the bed, everything looked stock and untouched. The rest of the hardware all looked original too. I want to say they were located near the center crossmembers, but can't be certain. The bed frame has since been sandblasted and primed, so I no longer have evidence marks on where they went.
What does the top of the bolt head look like? Is it one of the main through hold down bolts? If so, that would be a clue as there's not that many places those can go.

That being said, the length of the bolts would suggest the two center cross beams perhaps.
