I have a 97 HD F250. Along the lines of an F350. The lug wrench is missing out of the truck. I would like to replace it with a factory one. That way it is there when I need it. Not just a breaker bar and socket rolling around in the back of the truck. Then lost by the time I really need it.
The nut size is 7/8" this one off the bay looks fine. 401138772462 But the question is, Is it going to fit over the lug studs sticking out an inch and a half past the nut on a F250??? All the ones I have seen look like the socket part is way to shallow to fit over the stud. I am not sure what the factory one looks like. Anyone have one they want to part with or know where to get one?? I haven't been able to find one in the junk yards. Seems to be the first thing swiped when the truck goes in (at the pick and pull yards) The other yards don't want to deal with you for a trivial item.
I may have one from my '96 250 >8600lb which burned last May. I have no use for it so it's your if it's still in the truck. I'll check for you tomorrow...
Just checked...it's still in there...I'm not sure where you're located (I'm in Sandy Hook, CT) but you can PM me if you'd like! I like the idea of parts of my truck being useful to someone and living on....

I took a breaker bar wth extension and socket and zap strapped it under the hood. I had a nightmare changing a flat 40 miles out in the bush because of some clown at a tire shop gone crazy... bent my stock wrench so much i was sure i was doomed. But it all worked out but now i take no chances!
