Rounded off Lug Nut

I have a 2005 F350 CCLBSW. The truck is lifted and currently has 36" tires mounted on 14 wide rims. One lug nut front passenger side is rounded off. Used 3/4 6 point socket to remove them but think local offroad shop dicked 1 lug up on last rotation. Any suggestions on how to over come this?? I bought a lug nut removal tool but its too big to fit in the actual rim hole.
My thinking.....Possibly a milling bit?? We mill our own AR 15's, put that bit in a dremel and try to cut lug nut in half? JB Weld or Epoxy...Back another lug nut onto the rounded one and try to back both out? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! I have to get this tire off asap!! Thank you

Vice grips have been known to work. a good pair and you would be suprised

Don't take to the tire place again and be sure to worn your local friends to be aware.

Try the next size down socket and drive it on the rounded nut with a hammer - should work

Senix...Don't believe vice grips would ever work (unless there's a special set I've never seen) bc there's no way to get them in there, The hole is the exact size as the OD of a 3/4 socket and lug is reecessed a good 1/2-5/8ths of a inch.
Fun2drv I actually had a 11/16 I was going to drive on there but wanted opinions from others first. Seems like the 11/16 would be tuff going... maybe I'll try a mm socket and see if I can get in between the 2 standards for a better fit

I see, Guess I didn't realize it was recessed. I would try the undersized socket too.

try to force an 18mm onto the lug nut

else you might have to grind the outside diameter of the lugnut removal tool.

When all else fails, drill out the wheel stud just enough to make the lug nut fall off and no farther. Sucks, but at least you'll get the tire off. Then replace wheel stud and lug nut.

I'd try grinding down the outer diameter of the removal tool first as was mentioned.

Try smaller socket and JB weld it before hammering it on. Let it cure for 24hrs then back it off with a 1/2" breaker bar

I had that happen . Was able to get it off by using an X shaped lug nut wrench (the one with 4 sockets).

Rather than turning the wrench with it straight on the socket, I lifted it slightly so that it was a slight angle (pushing down a bit on the top back of the lug nut).

I pushed my full body weight against it and slowly turned it and the stripped lug nut came off

Talking Rounded lug nut

I would take it back to the shop that last installed them.

Years ago I had bought new tires and wheels on my old 4x4 truck. Went to remove front wheels and the idiots had them so tight you could NOT break them loose with anything.
i took it back to same place and the idiots heated them with a torch and fryed the front wheel. Their boss was pissed when they had to put all new lug bolts in and buy a new wheel to replace the damaged one.

As the others have said, try the smaller bit, MM is probably best, or you could try this setup, it worked for me on a toyota wheel one time

As others have mentioned, I've gone this route as well. I've taken a dremel and grinded the lug down a bit in order to hammer the smaller socket on. I've also welded a socket onto a lug which wasted the socket but worked.

Was going to suggest buying a socket from a local hardware or auto shop, welding it onto the nut, and using it that way.

Or weld another nut into the rounded nut.

How about a 23/32" socket?
