OK guys my ebrake isn't working well, crawled under the truck and the cables appeared stretched and slack.....do you just replace the cables (it looks like you just slip them out of the coupler) or how do you go about adjusting them?
You can’t adjust the cables. It is a balancing act within the brake drum.
You essentially reset the brake shoe adjusters when you put a new cable on.
i have seen some people build a cable tension device out of all thread and flat plate steel but if everything is setup right it should not be needed
