Parking brake cable help
Hello I have a 1993 f-250 with a 7.3 non turbo and a 5 speed manual. When I push down the parking brake it slowly comes to a stop and doesn't hold at all in reverse. I plan on changing the drums, shoes, and self adjusters. I have all the parking brake cables as well. It is hard to change the front cable? Looks like it is challenging from my ford dealer books with the recoil part of it. From what I understand it has a recoil. Do I have to mess with the recoil part of it or not when changing the cable?
