1971 Ford F100- Changing a Broken Wheel Stud

Can anyone explain to me the process for replacing a broken lug nut wheel stud on a 1971 Ford 100 (front, passenger)?

The studs have serrations that retain them in place. They're pressed into the hub first, then the drum is pressed onto the studs.

When the drum is removed, the serrations flatten out, so the studs should never be used again

Remove the front brake drum. Remove the wheel bearing nut. Use a hammer and a cold chisel to knock the broken stud. Install the new stud by stacking some washers on the wheel side of the stud and pull it all the way into the hole. I wouldn't use the lug nut to do this, a nut with the same thread works the best.

Or buy a new lug nut with the stud, them flip the old one over and use it to pull the stud in.
