I searched, and couldn't find a lot dealing with wheel stud problems. I even checked the tech folder like a good kid
When I try to put the lug nut back on, I spin it, just like any nut going on to a bolt. But the nut never engages the threads. I monkeyed around with them a lot, trying them on different studs, but the same studs had the issue with all the nuts I tried. Once the nut finally gets going, it feels like I'm cross threading it on, it took some actual pulling on a 1/2" ratchet to get it the first 1" or so onto the stud. Then it spun by hand all the way to the wheel, just like normal, with no signs of cross threading.
Do I need to replace the front studs? And is it as easy as pulling the rotor and punching them out?
well for one, did you try the same nut(lug) on every stud? the nut(lug) could be screwed up and i have a drw so its diff set up in the front for me but i believe the studs are part of the hub. pull the hub off, cover the bearing showing, lay hub with studs facing up and hit with a hammer to knock them out.
