USB issues

I have 2 new 32g usb 3.0 drives that I have purchased for my F250. I want to use them for music. 1 was not seen at all, the other I got a message on my screen that the usb was using to much power and to remove it. I have another 2g drive that I have been using with no issues. Also the 32g drives work fine in the neighbors GMC. Do you think this is something to bring to the dealer or do I just need a smaller usb?

I can't speak to the USB drive in the truck but I know my high end DSL camera was kind of finicky when it came to the flash drive I used. Are you using a high quality drive or one that is super cheap?

Ford says their USB ports are 2.0. 3.0 is backwards compatible so it shouldn’t make a difference but that’s the same thing they said when they ditched Mercon SP in favor of LV!

If you’ve got a 2.0 floating around somewhere it might be worth a try!

I have 2 old drives that work but wanted larger capacity, so I got 32gb drives, both don't work. I guess they are cheaper models.
