Was installing my shiny new bug deflector and as I was closing the hood for the last time, I noticed some missing paint on the bottom of the hood where the bump-stops had come in contact with the metal.
Took it to the dealer. Long story short, truck has been in the body shop for 2 days now. Not only did the stops remove paint, they dented the metal on the bottom side of the hood.
I also noticed the trans dip stick was oily an dirty all of a sudden. They ordered a new one for me. Seems like the o-ring failed.
So I came across mine being down to far and adjusted them up slightly. I was careful not to allow them to bend the hood. I hope they can do a repair for you. I would sure be pissed.
