Cruise control stopped working press the button once it flashes orange you press it again nothing you press it again after that it'll flash orange once I haven't the slightest idea I'm going to check the fuses when I get home anyone know off the top of their head which fuse it is so I can just hop underneath the inside fuse box and look thank you
So I got home turned her off turn their back on after holding the on-off button and everything seems to work fine now I don't know what happened
My F150 did that a number of years ago. Just a very random item; I would be using the CC, it would suddenly turn off and the light would blink. After a while I would even notice on occasion the light would just blink on/off
Took about a year of it doing this, but turns out the problem was the brake peddle switch was failing, and this was somehow the truck's goofy way of telling me. Ford dealer couldn't diagnose this. Clerk at an Autozone had heard of it, and said "yup that's your brake switch." I replaced it and never had the trouble again.
Now this was on a truck 10 years older, but Ford has an odd habit of not changing little quirks like this. If it does it again, might be something to look at.
Not sure about the flashing orange but when mine did nothing it turned out to be the clockspring. Changed it and it has been fine since. Figured it out by holding the button (when it did nothing) and cranking the steering wheel all the way to the (right or left, can't remember), then it would work ....
