What must I do before first engine start?

Hi guys, so my 1977 f100 6.0 powerstroke project is on in last stages before I turn the key and hope for the best, this engine has not been started in about three years, but before I do that I would like to hear from you all, on what I should do to the engine before I attempt to started, I already went ahead and change both fuel filters to oem ones, and have a brand new oil filter and cap ready to go, I will also do a oil change but I have no idea what brand or viscosity to use, I hear that 15w-40 is a good alternative for colorado springs, also when it comes to antifreeze I have no clue which one to use, during the first run I will just used destilled water since I'm going to flush the system, so I will appreciated if I can get some input before I turn the key, I want to make sure that everything goes smooth.

it was the rolling chasi out of a 2005 f350 and no it was not rebuilt, the engine had about 65,000 miles before the donor truck got total on a accident, rolled on its side to be exact, I been working on adding my 1977 f100 body on the chasi for the last three years, and I did not do anything to the engine besides just work on adding the older body to it, so it has been without starting in my garage for about three years.

so the engine was not "fogged" before going dormit????

were the coolant passages sealed up and there was coolant in the engine?

I think I saw a gadget that pressurizes the oil system using a special oil filter cap that gets attached to a hose and tank..id look into that. engine probally went dry while it was on its side. can you turn it by hand?

injectors will probally be stuck...I would add some "stucksion" additive in the engine bay fuel filter.

cycle on and off proceedure to get air out of the system

go to get all the air out of the fuel system.

Well no I did not fogged the engine, I did turn the engine using a braker bar a couple months ago and it was easy to turn it, I drained the coolant about a year and a half ago, i did cover the hoses and everything else that still had oil in it, and I will use some of that stucksion in the fuel filter if that is a good idea.

"Stiction" additive goes in the oil..... a fuel additive won't do anything for injector stiction on a 6.0, it's a problem with the oil spool valve.
