Driver rear door is stuck closed...any ideas?

Driver rear door is stuck closed...any ideas?

it appears that the pull-thingy for the door latch has come off at the latch side. Neither the inside or outside door handles work...so, door no open
Anyone have a good trick for getting the interior door panel off, since I can't get to the retaining screws on the bottom? Or is there a trick to getting to them?
or...any other trick anyone knows about? I did already buy new cables...just need to get it open!

Did you try folding the seat next to the door to see if you can then access the screws?
