Having said that, my buddy just bought a 2011 Lariat with the 5.0 for around $12,000 and he LOVES it. It's got 212,000 miles and runs/drives like a new one with no creaks or rattles he says. Got all the bells and whistles too, since it's a Lariat.
The key is finding one that's been serviced regularly and taken care of. If you can find that, like he did, you can score a sweet truck for a really cheap price.
