I did my due diligence and cant find anything in forums, so...
My son's 99 F150, 4.7L 6cyl 5 speed 4x4 will not start, no code, ABS light is on.
Changed the ABS sensors out, can't figure out why it's doing this.
You need fuel and spark. Put the key in the ignition and turn to "on" not start... The THEFT light will come on for 3 seconds, computer will match the key code to the truck and light will go out.......... at the same time the fuel pump will start and run for 3 seconds and build up pressure in the rail... you should hear the pump start if you listen closely... RESULTS ?
Alright, I'll start there, will be a couple days before I have time to attack it. I'll be in touch then, for now... why does it say ill next to your name friend? what's going on?
when you turn the key to "ON", the ABS light comes on also.... When you start the truck and continuity type test is run and if all the wires and sensors are connected, the light goes out........... When you start moving over 5 mph another test is done to see if the sensors are sending back speed signals... if not, the light comes back on............ but that has nothing to do with the ignition.
