what's gauge on this wire (solved)

I need to change the small wire on mega fuse by the solenoid.What size is the wire?
I managed taking the picture.

I did it and I got the pictures now,STOP being mad and tell me what do u think?
My brothers friend says ,his does not have the wire and wire should not be there.

It looks like they were trying to bypass the mega-fuse. If there was enough current to blow the 175 amp fuse that wire would vaporize right after. It looks like it was shunting enough current past the fuse to toast the wire. Looks like they were just adding in a fire hazard.

So ,take the wire out like my friend told me to do it.

and replace the fuse.


if you have problems with the fuse afterward, find out where the short is.


or better yet, make sure there is no short before replacing the fuse.


trying to bypass the main fuse in that manner is a phenomenally bad idea!

I will replace the fuse(it's cheap),like my said too,I will take out the wire.The original owner must done that,putting wire there.It is a 97 and I had it for 16 years.ty

Done,I got the fuse from the ford and replaced it(no more wire).ty
