Hello everyone, so I just finished buttoning up replacing the rear tank on my truck and filled it up to make sure everything was tight with no leaks.
I noticed that my full gauge is pegged past full. I unclipped the sending unit connector without it changing. I reused everything from the previous tank (as it was all in working order minus the actual tank having a hole) so I am guessing that during re installation the wires for the sending unit were bumped or strained causing a short? If so should I leave the connector unplugged until I have time to re-drop the tank and sort it out?
thanks.
If it was only a bit over F then I would not have even raised an eyebrow, but the needle swings as far as it can to the right, I kind of regret not switching to the rear tank with the engine not running before I filled it up to see if the gauge was working correctly. I suppose either way I gotta empty the tank out before I can fix it.
