32 Model B Woodie and some other good old stuff

Since there was a request in the '35 Sedan Delivery thread, here's the pics of my dad's cars.

Starting with the commercial vehicle, the 32 Woodie now has a Dearborn Award.

Me driving the '10 T. I'll inherit this car someday.

Here's the 1913 Oakland. Mostly unrestored as you can see.

Our speedster project. Was a 1912 Century Electric. Now Wisc. T Head.

The 24 T. Has a three speed trans. Runs good.

The 32 Model B four cylinder Five Window "Deuce Coupe." It turned out nice!

Dad's current project, the '35 Phaeton. Body will come off soon.

And the cruiser '39 Convertible Sedan. Dealer installed Colombia 2 speed axle.

On the speedster project, is that a wood frame? For mockup?

Great bunch of cars and projects!

Yes, the wood is for mockup. We've got a couple old T frame rails we'll use to build a sub-frame. Since the car was originally electric, there aren't the traditional frame rails to use. Notice that it's an "underslung" chassis, so it should be nice and low to the ground for better handling, LOL.

What a great bunch of cars. My favorite cars are pre war. I do have a 53 sedan because my wife really like it (I was going to replace the 53 with a 39, but then we started dating). I really like that the 32s were kept correct with their original B motors.

Dad pretty much restores his cars. The '10 T is almost all 100% correct, with the exception of some Rocky Mtn brakes and an updated timer I think. The brakes are nice because the stock brake is in the trans and if the driveshaft fails, well you're on your own then! Also, he could have EASILY put a V8 in the Woodie, which would have made it worth an EXTRA 50k or so. How many people can resist that temptation?

Nope. As he says, "they're only un-restored once."

Truth be told, we put some lightweight aluminum Buick pistons in it since he had to bore the cylinders. Apparently you can't find cast iron oversized pistons for a 1913 Oakland. Who would have thought? Also, the Drivers Side (right side) front fender was missing. Dad has a friend who is a MASTER of all things metal and fabricated the fender using the other side as a pattern. It has now rusted perfectly to match the rest of the car.
