Giving a Code P20BA - Reductant Heater A Control Performance
Dealer says DEF heater assembly ($1000) will take care of it.
Could this be anything else (sensor, glow plug, etc)?
oh yeah, this happened less than 45 days outside of warranty.
Why has this part been on back order for the last 2 months?
There is a screw on the engine bay firewall on the drivers side above the fuse box and over to the side a little, this screw attaches a bundle of ground wires to the firewall. I loosened this screw to add a ground wire for a light bar and the error code you had came up. I tightened the screw down with the ground wires and the code went away. So try tightening that screw and clear the code then start it a few times and see what happens, hopefully just a loose ground connection.
Mine is a 2015 and i'm no good at posting pics, that should be it, i went out and checked mine and that is the spot. You may want to unscrew, clean connection between the screw, firewall and wire connection so that it has goid contact and then tighten.
