I have been watching this show lately and like it a lot. Just the other day they had Bill Elliott and Junior Johnson featured talking about running moonshine in 40 Fords...very cool. But the real reason I am posting about this program is to let you all know about an upcoming show on the Corvette Museum and the recovery of those cars from the sinkhole. It is to be aired on Thursday March 3rd, I believe at 9:00 PM EST. It is refreshing to see a car program that is not produced like some cheesy reality show with concocted dramas, just cool cars and car people.
This week I'm staying where they have cable, I don''t normally have it. I watched American Restoration for the first time, and about puked. Same with Pickers. Totally BS
I found a show called Flippin' RV's, about a shop in central Oregon that does complete tear downs and restorations on vintage and antique travel trailers. It's on the GAC channel, Dish network channel 165. I think it's on Wednesdays and they run several episodes a time. It's pretty cool and they do amazing work. No over dramatization for effect like too many of those type of shows. They do work for customers as well as hunt and find for spec rebuild and resale.
Being a Northeast asphalt modified fan, I loved the episode of Americarna about the Evans, Cook modifieds. No B.S. The straight dope. The Battle For Rome.
I like the Amaricana show. I have it set to record. There was some pretty good episodes last year. I really liked the one where he bought and restored one of Marty Robbins old race cars. Marty Robbins is one of my heros.
I've seen that Flipping RV show once. It was entertaining
There is a guy down here in Virginia that made his money running 'shine in a 40 Ford coupe.
I was lucky enough to go for a ride with him in the coupe. It was complete with a few bullet holes in the trunk lid...
