EGT with deleted EGR

Anyone have any real world number to look at after deleting the EGR and installing new temp probe? Curious what is normal and what would be considered to hot. Thanks in advance.

EGT sensors are still in the exhaust. You don't need to add a probe. Therefore there should not be any changes.

You big change in temps was not seeing the regen anymore. Assuming you have deleted the DPF.

Can't do one without the other.

Thanks for the reply but yes the DPF has also fell off the truck, that's the reason I would like to know what Temps I should see at the new probe location at the EGR.

still don't understand why you are adding an additional probe when there is one in the exhaust already?

Hope others that have deleted will chime in though on the EGT's they see.

Maybe this will help you out, the 4 temp probes that are in the DPF are now up in the attic so those can't be monitored any longer. The one probe that was in the EGR pipe is also gone to replace with the block off plates. I don't know of any other temp probes in the system that can be monitored with the Edge monitor other then the one that they sell to add to the block off.

That is what you will need. Most all monitor EGTs from a threaded port in the block off plate over the manifold. My Spartan reads it from there. I took a sensor out of the exhaust and put it in the block off plate.

As for temps, it runs fairly cool compared to my 6.0 and 6.4. Runs down the interstate are 650-750. In the throttle towing, 900-1050. The 6.4 was easily on average a 100* hotter in all circumstances.

Thanks UGA33 I have already done all the work just was curious as to what temps I might see for everyday driving. Was also curious as to what would be considered too hot? Truck runs and feels much better now that it has lost some weight.
