I installed minni maxx but didnt say anything about which pyro to use or at what location to use it for the tunner. The reason I ask is I did buy egr delete kit but didnt have time to remove whole egr system yet so just unhooked everything it said to.But notice my pyro reads way high, is this do to the only one i can think of its using is the one in the egr pipe now,and do i need to move or do the whole egr delete to get accurate readings or bung in on exhaust like we use to have to do?
You have to either delete or block off the EGR up-pipe and install a pyro from the exhaust into the block-off plate on the exhaust manifold side. Otherwise it will read stupid high EGT numbers and always defuel, unless you set it not to defuel from EGT temps.
Thanks for replys, did a bit of research on H&S site and explains more.Yes i see you need to use the bung plate i have(i have egr delete kit), but i looked over many, many times and says nothing about where to mount that plate and/or where to get EGT sensor from to use there.Common sense since its not my first rodeo but nice directions.LOL I wonder y we cant use sensor from egr pipe instead of taking one from exhaust.O and im not new, just dont chat all the time, but i can.I think i pm you(andrew) a few times already.
thanks guys, yeh i went to H&S website and saw the egr $40 dollar kit and looked at directions there, much better, just dont know why they dont have anything in minni directions or big egr delete kit about it.O well got it figured out,and thanks to all the replys.P.S whats different about moving sensr from exhaust to this spot instead of using the sensor thats already in egr pipe hooked up already? And y doesnt read right now.
