Dash conmand ?s

So I bought – command for my pick up. I have everything connected and working. I also bought the Ford pack, my question is can I make my own dashboard? And also I've downloaded a few others that people have made and only about three quarters of the settings work, like ICP , Transmission temperature and a few others but there are still some that don't work.

My truck is a 2002 F250 7.3 4 x 4 six speed manual

I'm just trying to figure out what actually does work with our pick ups

I looked into doing this once and gave up. If I remember check out the palmerperformance website and there should be a link on how to make one. Go to forums on the site and search for "creating a dashboard".

As for the custom dash, I downloaded the skin editor one time years ago and started tinkering with dash design. If you are into graphic arts, that is a helpful skill set with this this little project.

Have you told the device the truck is non-OBDII compliant?

No I have not done that. Are you suggesting I should?

The first pic is a dashboard I downloaded, as you can see the functions work. I was just hoping for more things, or to be able to easily create my own.

Second pic is the stock gauges. Only a few work. Like coolant temp doesn't even work. Unless it is supposed to have a custom PID

Our trucks are non-OBDII, and I have seen the wrong setting here cause issues with other applications.

Coolant temp won't work on an Automatic - no sensor to the PCM to share over the OBDII port.

Here is a list of things you want to look for on the software, complete with ranges:

Not working for me so far. Can get it connected but not recognizing the vehicle. Just wasted $10 unless I can get it going.

Just to be playfully snarky (nothing personal) - I'd be more concerned about the money lost on an iPhony.

What OBDII adapter are you using? Have you seen this [LINK] or this [LINK]?

The adapter is Veepeak. Works fine with Forscan with iPad, 2 iPhones and laptop. Also tried with a couple free obd2 apps and worked fine. So, has to be something other than ELM, I guess. It connects to the DashCommand app, it's just not recognizing the truck PCM for some reason. Seems to get stuck saying "identifying PIDS" or something like that. Any ideas ?

Have you setup the vehicle info. In the vehicle settings go to OBD-11 settings set the ISO at 3000 OBD timeout at 1000 and make sure the disable mode is not green. Don't forget to validate the PID's. If you have more than one vehicle make sure you have it set to that vehicle or it will stall the engine when you go to the dashboard.

3000 was already set.
Just changed timeout to 1000. It was set at 500.
Should I validate PIDS when?

It did stall out but I only have one vehicle listed. I dint understand this.
