I'm pretty sure you're supposed to connect the unit KOER "Key ON Engine Off", Launch the program, Then start the vehicle.......You can't change things once everything's running. It will always kill the engine.

I have never had that problem. I have selected new PID's while running. I also start the truck then select the app.

Well, it seems to be an iPad vs iPhone issue. Just downloaded app on my iPhone6 and it works. Still won't recognize the truck with iPad. Operating software on iPad is old. iPhone newer. So that must be it.
Guess it's useless now unless I spend another $10 for the Ford specifics I guess ?

It's been a while since I had to do it. At that time I had an iPhone 4 and 5 and it asked if I wanted to add this phone to the account. Maybe they changed it. Odd

No, I can add the phone with no problem. I thought you meant I could get the Ford bundle at a lower cost. Looks like in order to get Ford specific PIDS, I need to buy the app buy on for $10

Good thread. I have had dash command for years, mainly use it on gassers and not the diesel. I also have Palmer performance's laptop soft ware as well. That being said I went through a couple of months trying to get them to jive with the 7.3s without luck. They kept telling me their software works fine with the 7.3...and it did not. Didn't matter if it was on my iphone, ipad, or Windows computer, it would connect I'd set the parameters and nothing showed up.....
Curious if their Ford bundle fixes this issue? Obviously you have it working and a dashboard up! Please tell me more as it sure would be nice to actually use it for what I originally intended it for!
Regarding shutting off the truck, I forget the setting you need to unclick in the pids, I am not sure if its auto connect or auto reconnect, but this needs to be unchecked and that issue will go away. I had it happen going down the highway at 70...
Look forward to hearing more! I just found out their latest update got rid of the old Kiwi ELM I was using...now I have to go buy a KIWI 2....Effing stupid
