I had the distinct pleasure of receiving a visit from PJS55 yesterday. John and Sharon had contacted me about a week ago to advise they were touring up this way (they reside about 6 to 7 hours from my place) and wanted to get otgether. You know - put a face to the legend, etc.....
So they showed up about 3:00 Saturday afternoon and stayed till about midnight.
Whata hoot! While John isn't quite as handsome as me, he's definitely smarter and funnier. (I would suspect that he might even be as smart as George.) And he can certainly pack in more beer than me, though.
We had a great time swapping stories, lies, jokes, etc. It was certainly my pleasure to meet him (and Sharon too, although Sharon seems pretty normal - at least, compared to John)
Glad you had a chance to meet them, Fergie. I think everyone who was able to attend the dinner at PF 2003 was impressed with how nice both John and Sharon are. I know I thoroughly enjoyed the evening with them.
thanks for the kind words. Sharron and I certainly appreciated the kind hospitality that was extended by Ferg and Betty at their place on saturday. it certainly was a hoot.
The one skill that I would certainly admit to superiorty is the skill of procrastinating. I have had my truck for 2 years and ferg has, in the short time he's had his 54, jumped way ahead in getting the job done. The 87 New Yorker clip certainly looks good and well integrated into the chassis and the rear end can support itself as well complete with a well done C- notch to drop it right down. There will be a lot of work on the cab but as it sits, it looks like a beautiful home for a nice EFI 5.0
You couldn'ta warned me prior to saturday. This guy sat in my home, drank my beer and pretended to like 351Ws.....I feel so used, so violated, so dirty.....
now whoa. I just said that it looked like a nice home for a 5.0 because that's exactly what I'm going to do. But if only a manly 5.8 EFI will do, then happy hunting. its just that with so many 5.0 Mustangs around..........
Yes that's true. I just hope it never comes to that. (I'd never be able to hold my head up in here again. I'd lose all the respect i've come to enjoy here)
BTW - The flowers were a real classy touch (and it saves me buyin her any too)
