2011 Expedition Problem
My Expedition has 66,000 miles, I bought it new. It went into limp mode two weeks ago and I had it towed to my friend's shop/ He scanned it and it came up with codes P2111 and P2112. He made a call to his buddy at the local Ford store and was told the throttle body and accelerator assemblies have been an issue and they have them in stock. Both items have been "redesigned" three times. As it turned out they didn't have the accelerator assembly and it was on back-order. Both have been replaced and code P2111 is still on. Went to drive it to the Ford Dealer yesterday and it went 100 yards and quit. It was towed to the dealer and there it sits until next week (I assume). The warranty for "emission items" is 80,000 miles so I may be getting back the cost of the parts. Both items are listed in "covered items". But I just want the vehicle back. I am not very happy to be without my truck. Have even been scouring the net for new Chevy's and GMC's if this is not fixed directly.
