1999 f350 electric break controller hook up
I got an electric brake controller for my truck. I know there is the plug in under the dash. I was wondering what each wire was for. There is 5 on the truck and only 4 on my controller. My controller wires are labeled red-stoplight white is ground blue is brake and black is battery +. Which wire from my controller do I connect to on the truck? Color coded? Any help is appreciated!

You should be able to buy a "jump harness" that joins the controller pigtail to the truck pigtail with no splicing necessary. That is the easiest , safest, and quickest way to wire it.
Other wise get a test light.
Wire diagrams are usually accurate, but I wouldn't bet my life on one.
