If so what is it for a truck and how many aluminum wheels did it come with?
I know the will be a dually wide track thing but I'm wondering if you got 4 or 6 aluminum wheels.
I ask because I ordered 6 with my truck and it only came with 4. I'm a little upset about it and in arguing with the dealer, they say that Ford doesn't make a wheel for the inside rear.
They are all the same. Only difference is that ford only polishes one side of the wheel. The fronts are polished on the convex and rears are polished on the concave.
Anyway I've seen 17" wheels on a '13 F-450 that came with all 6. I just want to be able to walk in and say that 19.5" wheels come stock on a such and such truck with all 6.
I don't think two aluminum wheels would fit on the wheel studs because aluminum needs to have a thicker flange than steel for strength reasons. If using spacers, I believe the wheel studs are longer to accommodate 2 aluminum wheels. Look up American Force wheels on youtube and you will see what I mean. If you are worried about rotating tires, then for the rears just swap side to side keeping the sets together, never separate sets, and for the fronts just swap side to side.
The only thing I am worried about is that I paid for 6 and got 4. No one is going to see them. And unless I take them off periodically and clean them, they will get nasty anyway.
And for the dealer to say Ford doesn't make a wheel to go there just blows my mind. Lol
They haven't tried the misprint line yet. They're sticking with "Ford doesn't make a wheel that fits in that position on the truck"
And Crystal has helped, she has gone as far as she can. I've been fighting with Ford and my dealer for 2-1/2 months now.
The truck also didn't come with Sync, but that's another whole can of worms.
I wonder if they will say the 6 aluminum wheels come with the pickups and and the 4/2 come with the chassis cabs? Not that misprints don't happen though. The misprint about the different axles of a SRW 350 vs. 250 still throws people even though it's not true. And on Ford's build and price you can't select both the camper package and the snow plow package on the same build. It's been that way for years even though you could always order both packages on the same truck....
I think you are fighting a battle that a.) isn't going to be won and b.) isn't worth fighting. AFAIK, they have never come with 6 aluminum wheels.
At the end of the day, does it really matter? If they never came with 6, then you paid what everyone else has been paying for years, 4 aluminum and 2 steel wheels.
Yes it matters. I paid for 6, I ordered 6, and I'll get 6.
Call me petty but when YOU order a truck at 60k and don't get what you ordered (and paid for) you might see it differently.

I'm not saying that I would necessarily run 6 at the same time.
What I'm getting at is that you paid for 4 alum wheels....just like everyone else that has dually. I'd chalk it up to a mis-pring in their literature. I'm fairly certain the F-350 DRW's have the 4/2 combo just like the current 450's. I don't know about the 17" wheels that came on the previous generation of 450's. Perhaps they came with all 6. There is a 2014 at the local dealership. If I'm in the neighborhood, I'll stop in and take a look underneath.
I just read this thread to my wife, she said it sounds a lot like some of the discussions(politely put) I've had with Ford.
When I ordered my truck (chassis cab) you could absolutely not get the HomeLink on a Lariat. It was on the pickups but could not get on a cc. No matter how hard I argued the stupidity of that issue I lost. Of course it's available now on the newer cc's.
You know that sunvisor will only work on certain trucks.....................
It's frustrating to say the least. I ORDERED the truck. So I feel like I should recieve what I thought I was getting and what I paid for. Misprint or not I have the documentation that says I'm owed 2 more wheels. I'm meeting with my dealer next week because Ford is washing there hands of it and putting the burden on the dealer.
Thanks all for your input. Even though it's not what I was hoping to hear.
