I need to replace the passenger side mirror on my 2002 Excursion Limited V10. It has the heated, signal mirrors (not extendable). Scraped against the garage door backing out and the glass popped off. Tried to re-attach but it doesn't work fully. I'm able to get a takeoff from a 2003 that has heat and signals, but I'm not sure the connectors are the same. Does anybody know off-hand? Thanks.
Thanks Archion. I ordered the 2003 mirrors and installed them today. They are exactly the same and work perfectly.
FYI for those looking at this in the future, the doors are relatively easy to work on and mirror replacement is a breeze. There are 2 screws in the door panel (under the window/lock switch cover and under the door light/reflector. After removing the two screws, the door panel just lifts off (lift up and pull). There are 4 screws to remove the mirror and the mirror wiring/connector is located under the dust seal, towards the top of the door. You'll have to take off the speaker to be able to easily route the wire for the mirror back through the hole in the door. All relatively simple and can be done in about 20 minutes.
