1993 Ford Ranger Water pump??
I searched around on here but only could find threads on the 3.0. I have have 1993 ford Ranger 4.0 and I am trying to change out the water pump today. I rented the wrenches from advanced to take the water pump off. What size wrench fits the nut to take off the fan?? I tried all of the wrenches that came with the kit and the 36mm seems to fit but it slips. I think it may be wore out from all the rentals(looks to be kinda rounded out). Just trying to figure out if I can go get the correct size wrench to get it it off. I tried some Channel locks but cant get enough on it to get it off.. any tips would be greatly helpful.

If you happen to have an air hammer and a chisel I just put it on the nut and it comes loose with a quick zzzzappp! A regular chisel works too if you can get a hammer to hit it with, just remember the threads are lefty. Yes crude and barbaric.... but effective.

Thanks... I actually took the wrench set back and got a set that wasnt wore out. It came off pretty easy... Whole process was pretty easy... But those damn hose clamps they put on there are a pain in the butt with little room to work with... You gotta have some wide pliers to get them off.... Took longer to put clamps back on then it did the whole job...lol.. I shoulda bought some different clamps and put them on there... ohh and the fact that people use my tools and never put them back in the correct place... running around trying to find the correct ones the whole time...lol
