So I have been poking around trying to find information on the "healthy" readings for the 7.3. I just programmed my scangauge II and would like a starting reference point. Any help?
Seems like there are only a dozen or so that I was able to get readings for. I guess among the ones I am most concerned about are fuel pressures and boost.
Scangauge 2 doesnt report fuel pressure as the PCM does not read that, and the boost gauge on the scangauge is meh. I have a scangauge that i use for ECT/EOT/FICM/Volts and analog gauges for Fuel pressure/EGT/boost
Scangauge i also use occasionally for ICP, IPR, VGT (guess you dont really need that),
We don't have the FICM either... or that ECT. No Fuel Pressure, Engine Coolant Temperature, or Exhaust Gas Temperatures on the OBDII port.
Engine Oil Temperature, Injector Control Pressure, Injector Control Pressure Duty Cycle (IPR), Fuel Injector Pulse Width, Boost or MAP, Exhaust Back Pressure, Transmission Fluid Temperature, Torque Converter Slip, and Volts are good troubleshooting PIDs. I doubt you'd want to monitor all of that, so now it's down to "What do you want to monitor?"
