I aint dead but my dentside currently is

I`m still kicking. Just been super busy at work and to top it off my 460 locked up a month ago due to a severely cracked #2 cylinder wall...lunched the internals when it cut loose at 50mph

so I get the motor out after havin to recraft the hoist to reach high enough to get it out of my lifted rig with the 38s deflated all the way

discover the 460 conversion was more like a hack job. Wrong/hackjacked motor mounts, frame towers had trapezoids torched out of them to account for the mismatched mount stud location, had no idea what flywheel/clutch kit was used but it turns out it def has a 390 flywheel which is good since I got another mid 70s car block (internal balance)....still trying to guess the clutch kit used so I can replace it with similar....got new conversion motor mounts from Performance something or other, pulled the towers and welded brand new tops in them out of 9 guage and re-slotted the mounting holes in the mill at work, fixing the frame notch (hackout to fit car manifolds on pass side) job to prevent cracks, rewelded and drilled the holes in the z-bar linkage where they were slotted out almost thru the side, tore motor topend off (motor is a used 460 with 72k) to inspect and found a leaky intake gasket seal around coolant port near #8 cyl, new gaskets and seals all around, new pilot bearing (modded to work with shallow crank hole), new oil pump, swapped out car sump tube for truck rear sump tube, JUST finished resurfacing the flywheel on the lathe and I`m one clutch kit install from dropping this newer bad **** in the bay and kiss my wife for putting up with the junk strewn all over the garage and driveway

wish me luck....at this rate, there will be NOTHING left to fix on this damn truck......hopefully.

Bahahaha, you have EXACTLY the same luck I do with vehicles. 1 afro-engineered part leads to $300+ in new, CORRECT replacement parts..

Not to mention the cussing and screaming at the vehicle during the redo...lol

Just letting you know, I added you to the KY Chapter Members Map with Bowling Green as your general location.

If you go up to the KY Map sticky, you can see where you are in relation to other members in KY.

Looks like you have a good 3-5 members close by, well within 1 hour of driving.

I hope the 460 goes back together like it's suppose to!
