Trailblazers closed

Just saw this and thought the Kentucky guys would find this to be useful information. Here's hoping you're not one of the people waiting on merchandise. I wonder if the Pikeville location is still open.

Sorry, the main Trailblazers store was on New Circle Road in the northern part of Lexington as I recall. The Pikeville store was right beside Highway 23 outside of Pikeville. Years ago, they pretty much had a monopoly on all the custom parts and gadgets that people put on their cars and trucks around here. Then, it seemed like the internet came along and kind of leveled the playing field.

Edit: And stupid me just realized I forgot to paste the story link into the first post. I fixed it.

And were WAYYY overpriced.

And yes, the intrawebs have helped in their demise, by making the EXACT same stuff available to the consumer at wholesale prices.

I only went in there once. I was looking at a Holley carb and Edelbrock intake for my V8 pinto. The price was half again as much as my local auto parts store could order them for. I decided to wait the week it took to come in and save some money. $$

I'm sorry to see them out of business though. For people that needed someone else to turn wrenches for them, TB was handy.

I think Truckaddons was a part of their business. If so, I bought a tonneau cover from them a few years back. I need to replace the cover, but the rails and cross pieces are still good. I hope their customers have better luck getting their money back than I had when a company I did a job for bounced a check they paid me and then closed.

Truckaddons.com is, or was, Trailblazers website. It's still up.
