2000 7.3 with 277k. After sitting overnight, the truck will not start without either. I had it in a 60* shop since Tuesday after fixing the water drain leak, New #7 injector and driverside oring injectors. I am still getting a p1277 cyl 7 high to low side open. I put on a new GPR because the other one was dead. Thinking that it would start easier, it does not. While cranking, I do not see the oil pressure gauge move. After it fired up after about 30 seconds of cranking, the oil pressure gauge moves. Glow plugs ohm fine and has two new batteries.
Other codes include:
P0603: internal control module KAM malfunction
P1212: icp (cranking) not detected
P1280: integrated control panel circuit out of range low
P1670: electronic feedback
You might have a Low Pressure Oil Pump problem, but you likely have an Under Valve Cover Harness problem. You can ohm out your injectors at the 42-pin connector (over the driver-side valve cover). "P+" is passenger-side common for the odd-numbered injectors.
Specs? You should see good and even continuity on all injectors. I can never remember the exact spec (too many numbers in my head to keep them all), but it's really low - like under 5 ohms.
Sometimes the UVCH comes loose and there are those who suggest the 50-cent mod, but I've had one of those fail on me. I replaced my harnesses after I inspected the pins on the VC gasket (in and out) to make sure none were corroded/burned.
