Merry Christmas guys. I decided to take the free time today and try to track down my fuel and oil leak. I'm pretty sure it's the orings on my fuel drain, so when I looked down there I noticed two things. The first thing I noticed was that I am missing a torx screw right below the drain. The second thing I noticed was this tube next to the place where fuel drains out when you open the lever. Where does it go? My truck never has ran very good since I bought it and I really want to enjoy it.
That rubber hose not connected to anything slips over the barb in the back if the fuel bowl. When you open the drain, the fuel should flow out the barb/nipple, through that rubber hose into a steel line, and then drain out from under the engine off the crossmember. What do I win, lol?
Can't really see the torx, but its probably one that holds the drain valve to the filter housing. The rubber hose is the drain hose, and belongs on the metal tube to the left of the hose. The missing torx is probably part of your leak problem. That and its likely do for an oring change.
Thanks for the help guys! Now I need to find my oil cooler lines. It leaks like crazy in the morning until it warms up, but everything is so covered in oil I can't pinpoint where it's coming from. I'll start a new thread for that. Oh, and Mowing Man I wish I had a prize for you! Lol
Hahaha, the Merry Christmas you wished us all was good enough for me! I'm glad I was able to help a little bit after all the info and assistance I've received from all you guys!
If it only leaks oil when it's cold I'd say it's your oil cooler. Most of the leaking should be around the left side of the truck, at least that's where mine was.

It's that great big tube next to the driver-side exhaust manifold. It goes from the oil pump to the oil filter, but you have coolant and oil in the tube... so don't do anything with it until you have a plan and parts.
